Miami Bids Adieu to Its Red Light Cameras

redLightIn case you missed the momentous news released last week, Miami has decided to do away with its controversial red light camera program after commissioners unanimously reached a decision to end it. As the city’s contract with the company American Traffic Solutions comes to an end, the company will have about sixty days to take care of whatever it needs to do wrap up its red light camera operations in Miami.

The decision to do away with the red light camera program was one of the intended goals of Miami’s newly-elected Mayor Francis Suarez. While the program will soon be phased out, you may come across traffic lights where cameras still exist. Always remain vigilant and drive safe to avoid becoming the victim of an unintended red light ticket or worse, an accident. If you do happen to receive one, we can help you fight your traffic ticket.

How do you feel about Miami commissioners choosing to call it quits on the red light camera program? Are you among the people who believed it may have helped in making the streets of Miami a little safer? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
