Ultra Music Festival Transportation

ultraLogo (1)The Ultra Music Festival is happening this weekend.  Considering how quickly the event sold out, there will be hundreds of thousands of people visiting Miami to attend the annual musical event centered around electronic music.  Although city officials and event organizers are encouraging attendees to use public transportation like the Metrorail and Metromover, there will still be plenty of people driving.  As a result, you should be aware of some of the traffic diversions that will be happening.

Beginning tonight at 9 pm, all Biscayne Boulevard traffic heading southbound will be required to turn right onto Northeast Fourth Street and then head west to Northeast Second Avenue to continue in the southern direction.  Biscayne Boulevard’s southbound lanes will be taking care of all northbound traffic from Southeast First Street to Northeast Fourth Street.  All side streets will however remain open during the two-day Ultra festivities.

When leaving the event, make sure to be extremely aware on the roads as you’re making your way out and be on the lookout in case of potential drunk drivers.  Strongly consider using the Metrorail or maybe use an Uber that can drop you off at the Rider Lounge on the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast Sixth Street.  If you do drink, remember to have someone sober drive you home once the event is over.
